Ultrasound

Baby Johnson 19 Weeks

20 Weeks - Halfway there!

So I am 20 weeks pregnant today and that means we are halfway to having a baby! Crazy how fast it has gone by. I am really trying to take it all in and enjoy being pregnant
(and sleeping as much as I want)!

Sadly Bill left for his deployment yesterday. He will be back very soon though and he won't be missing any big doctor's appointments or anything. He is staying in a hotel and is in much better conditions than his last deployment. We get to talk and use Skype multiple times a day so that has been a blessing so far.

(Here are my 'sorry I am leaving again' flowers)

19 Weeks

So no need to tell me, I am not even half way done and I know my face is fat already. I always gain weight in my face first so I don't think my chubby cheeks or double chin are going anywhere, but I look forward to losing the weight there first as well. Fingers crossed.

I feel like my belly is growing rapidly now, I can actually feel my stomach stretching and I have been lathering on the cocoa butter in hopes that it actually works.
I was busy this week baking and decorating cakes. It has actually helped keep my mind off of Bill leaving soon and I hope I have a lot of orders while he is gone to keep me busy then as well.
So this is my St. Patrick's Day cake for the OSC auction that was on Friday. I got the news that it sold for $75, so I was pretty happy with that.
I also made these Petit Fours for my friend Gretchen's daughter, Whitleigh's 3rd birthday Tea party that was today. They did not turn out as easy or pretty as I was envisioning, but I hope Whitleigh loved them and if so, that is all that matters. And I learned a lot from making them as well.
The next update will be very soon as this week will be very exciting with our ultrasound and the delivery of our baby furniture, yet a little sad with the normal military life stuff...

18 Weeks

Mt. Hood, Oregon

This week was pretty exciting. Bill and I took our little baby moon to Portland. Things didn't really go as planned as we were suppose to stay on the beach, but a storm rolled in and Portland was our back-up plan. It ended up still being fun and relaxing. We ate Chipotle every day we were there, and got some to take home. Kind of sad that we really only ate at one restaurant but we couldn't help ourselves. We did stop at this little sushi place that basically had a constant moving river of freshly made sushi on little plates that you just pick up and eat. It was really different and neat to see, of course I couldn't really eat much of it, I had a shrimp tempura roll but that was about it. Bill did get to try a couple new things though and it was fun.

We really enjoyed our time together as just the two of us and when we got back home, Bill still had a couple of days off. The weather here was great and we spent some time cleaning the vehicles and playing outside with the pups.
He is getting ready to deploy again any day now and the past few days together went by way too fast. I am guessing I will be really big when he gets home, but for now, here is my baby bump...
I felt a lot of movement starting this week which has just been really exciting and very strange at the same time. I love feeling this little baby move around but it is a very bizarre feeling. I can't wait until Bill can feel the baby too.
