5 Months Old!

I am sure I will keep saying this every month, but I can not believe that Bradley is 5 months old! He sure is developing quite a personality and a little more of it shows every day. He has a bit of a temper, if he drops a toy and can't reach it, he will let you know. Of course he still lets you know if he is hungry as well. We started him on cereal right at about 5 months old, but after a few days of extremely painful gas and one unhappy baby we had to put the solids on hold. The doctor said that his belly just might not be ready. So we will try again in a couple of weeks after his Doctor's appointment. He loved eating from the spoon though, and would get so excited. So I hope we can start again very soon!

He also rolled over a couple of weeks ago, and has rolled over a couple of times since then. He is starting to almost like tummy time, so that is making it a lot easier to get him to start rolling over more often. We practice sitting up too, he does pretty well but falls back a lot.

We are having so much fun with him and love watching his new skills develop every day!

Meeting Santa for the first time!

It was a success! Bradley was having a great day so we thought it was the perfect time to meet Santa. He was so happy but overwhelmed at everyone walking by and all the other things around him that it took a little while to get him to look straight at the camera. But we did it and this picture is just priceless...well actually it was like $30 ha! But it was worth way more!

We are so excited for Bradley's first Christmas. He won't remember it, but hopefully he will have a fun day and we will get some great photos to show him when he is older.

4 Months Old!

Bradley is now four months old and he is really developing his own personality. He knows when you leave the room now and he does not like it! So even though he has his bouncy seat, bumbo seat, swing, activity gym and his infant seat as well, he only like to be in them while he can see you. Needless to say, this made moving in and unpacking a little more challenging. But we did it and Bradley has now officially been through his first, of many, moves.

He has been talking even more then last month and he also is using his hands a lot more. When his hands aren't in his mouth he is holding toys, shaking rattles and attempting to hold his bottle.

He recently had his four month check up here at Seymour and he weighed 16 pounds! We have a butterball just in time for Thanksgiving! He also had his second set of shots, which of course was not fun for anyone! He cried for only a minute again though and stopped as soon as daddy picked him up.

We look forward to the next few months as he will start eating fun foods, sitting up on his own and will be mobile before we know it!

3 Months Old!

3 Months Old!

Our little guy is three months old! Time really does fly by when you are having fun. And we are having so much fun with this boy! He started sleeping 8 hours at night which was really scary at first and then it became awesome! Of course I didn't get 8 hours of sleep since I was checking on him every time he slept longer then usual. But I eventually got use to it and now I get a good nights rest too!
He makes so many noises now and you can tell he is trying to communicate. He will look at you, make some noise and raise his eyebrows as if he is saying "can't you understand what I am saying to you?" We can't wait to start teaching him baby sign language and have another form of communication with him!

He loves to sit on daddy's lap and watch football! Yes, football already! It could have something to do with the fact that we have the biggest TV in the universe and he can't help but see it. But either way, he likes it!

We just can't believe that he is already 3 months old! I feel like I need to start planning his first birthday party! Maybe the theme could be trains, or...well I have a little bit of time to plan I guess.

2 months old!

September 14, 2010
11 pounds, 22 inchesBradley is now smiling and cooing at us! It is so great to look down at your baby boy and have him smile back at you! It makes me melt every time! He sounds like he is starting to try and laugh too. We can't wait for that day to come!

He kicks his feet all of the time and is holding his head up pretty well. He tries to headbutt me multiple times a day! He has tummy time every day to help him control and strengthen his muscles and so that he will learn to push himself up. Sometimes he likes tummy time and sometimes, not so much.

But he does like laying under his activity center thing. He kicks it and makes it rattle. He also loves looking at himself in the mirror...he must get this from his dad, he he.

One Month!

August 14, 2010
7.5 pounds, 21 inches
Bradley is one month old today! Wow! Everyone tells you that times flies and they grow so fast, but you really can not understand that until you experience it. He has finally gained back his birth weight after a little supplementation with formula. Apparently my breast milk is skim milk and didn't have enough fat in it for him to gain enough weight. So now he gets both, and I am ok with that. At first I was sad to think that I wasn't giving him what he needed but, as long as he is getting nutrients from me and gaining weight from formula, that is what is best for him.
It makes me sad to think how fast he is growing, I close my eyes and try to memorize everything he does. Soon he won't want me to hold him as much and won't need me for everything. So right now, I hold him as much as I can! I don't think I will ever look back and think...gosh I wish I didn't hold him so much when he was a baby. He is changing and developing so much every day. He is starting to be awake a lot more during the day. At first he slept so much we didn't even get to see his eyes very often. So I look forward to him being awake and interacting with us more very soon!

We should have this big red chair for a very long time so we thought it would be cool to take Bradley's picture in it every month to use as a reference of how big he is getting! Also, our friend got us these stickers to put on a onesie that are numbered, 1 month-12 months. So those pictures will be fun to look back on as well.

36 weeks!

Again a horrible picture, I look like I have been crying or something. But this is me at 36 weeks! This week we found out that baby Johnson is breech. We have a procedure called an ECV scheduled for the 12th. Hopefully this will work to flip the baby into the right position. If not, they will schedule a c-section. So everyone say a little prayer for our little family!

35 Weeks!

34 Weeks! Baby shower weekend!

This week was full of excitement, maybe too much! My mom and little sister flew out and surprised me for our baby shower. Bill was in on it and picked them up at the airport, telling me he went to work. So when the doorbell rang, you can imagine how shocked I was, and if you are reading this I am sure you have already seen the video on my mom's blog anyways.

The baby shower was great, far exceeded anything we imagined it would be like.
It, as any occasion you look forward to, flew by and it was over before we knew it! I think we are ready for the baby to come now, as ready as we can be!
Bill and I took my mom and Gabby golfing while they were here. Gabby did great for her first time and my mom had fun driving the golf cart. Gabby even broke her first driver, ha! Luckily the golf course didn't make us pay for the broken rental.

32 Weeks!

This is a horrible picture, but here you go!
Really can't wait to get my hair done again!

31 Weeks!

This picture was taken right before Bill and I went golfing. It was the first nice golfing weather day in a long time and actually was the last for a while. The weather here is so crazy, back and forth. Ready to wear as little clothing as possible so ready to throw the jeans and sweatshirts away to the back of the closet.

Mini Photo Shoot in Hawaii

So my hair is no longer used to humidity and it looks like crap in these photos, especially after how long I spent curling it! But a like a couple of the pictures we had taken. You can't really tell we are in Hawaii because the sun was so bright. But I assure you, we were! We are also having our pictures taken in a few weeks, hopefully my hair will cooperate and I won't be as swollen in them!

I don't have anything to say about this picture other than I am big!

29 Weeks!

We had my birthday BBQ this week. Bill unfortunately did not make it home in time for the celebration, but we were soon celebrating his homecoming. The odds worked out afterall and he made it home on my 27th birthday!!! Best birthday gift ever!

The cake Bill had delivered to my party!

28 Weeks

This was Mother's day. Everyone kept telling me Happy Mother's Day and that felt kind of weird because I don't feel like I am a mother yet. Next year will be my real first Mother's Day so that is exciting. I had to take my glucose test this week. I was kind of nervous since my sister failed her test a few times, I just had a feeling I would too. But everything came back normal, so I am cleared to keep eating whatever I want. Yea!! The baby kicks and moves A LOT more this week. I still don't know what is what, like where the hands, feet, bum, etc. are. Curious though!

27 Weeks!

Definitely bigger this week. Not only do I see it but I feel it! It is getting harder to tie my shoes, bend over and pick things up, and SLEEP! I feel really good when I wake up and try to get as much of my to do list done then. At night I start to get uncomfortable and just feel so full. But I really am enjoying my pregnancy and feel so blessed everyday. I can't wait for Bill to come home and enjoy this with me again. Also for him to bring me food and drinks, etc...he he!

26 Weeks!

My 26th week brought the end to our vacation in Hawaii. We have seen and experienced a lot of beautiful things while here. Ate A LOT of food and got some good relaxation. Now to begin the countdown until Bill comes home!

25 weeks

This week was a surprise! I got to go and meet Bill in Hawaii while he was TDY. We thought we had already had our babymoon but this was a REAL babymoon. We were so lucky to get to see Hawaii and spend some alone time together before having our little one.

24 Weeks

A milestone we had this week was seeing my belly move for the first time. It was so cool and scary at the same time. It keeps getting more and more real I guess. First with finding out you are pregnant, seeing the ultrasound, feeling the baby move for the first time and then kick. These are all moments that cease to amaze me...we are really having a baby!

Snow in April

The pictures speak for themselves...I need some sun!!! Of course a couple of days later it is in the 60's, Idaho weather can't make up it's mind.

Is it just me or is my stomach getting bigger?

21 Weeks

Ultrasound

Baby Johnson 19 Weeks

20 Weeks - Halfway there!

So I am 20 weeks pregnant today and that means we are halfway to having a baby! Crazy how fast it has gone by. I am really trying to take it all in and enjoy being pregnant
(and sleeping as much as I want)!

Sadly Bill left for his deployment yesterday. He will be back very soon though and he won't be missing any big doctor's appointments or anything. He is staying in a hotel and is in much better conditions than his last deployment. We get to talk and use Skype multiple times a day so that has been a blessing so far.

(Here are my 'sorry I am leaving again' flowers)
