2 months old!

September 14, 2010
11 pounds, 22 inchesBradley is now smiling and cooing at us! It is so great to look down at your baby boy and have him smile back at you! It makes me melt every time! He sounds like he is starting to try and laugh too. We can't wait for that day to come!

He kicks his feet all of the time and is holding his head up pretty well. He tries to headbutt me multiple times a day! He has tummy time every day to help him control and strengthen his muscles and so that he will learn to push himself up. Sometimes he likes tummy time and sometimes, not so much.

But he does like laying under his activity center thing. He kicks it and makes it rattle. He also loves looking at himself in the mirror...he must get this from his dad, he he.

One Month!

Bradley is one month old today! Wow! Everyone tells you that times flies and they grow so fast, but you really can not understand that until you experience it. He has finally gained back his birth weight after a little supplementation with formula. Apparently my breast milk is skim milk and didn't have enough fat in it for him to gain enough weight. So now he gets both, and I am ok with that. At first I was sad to think that I wasn't giving him what he needed but, as long as he is getting nutrients from me and gaining weight from formula, that is what is best for him.
It makes me sad to think how fast he is growing, I close my eyes and try to memorize everything he does. Soon he won't want me to hold him as much and won't need me for everything. So right now, I hold him as much as I can! I don't think I will ever look back and think...gosh I wish I didn't hold him so much when he was a baby. He is changing and developing so much every day. He is starting to be awake a lot more during the day. At first he slept so much we didn't even get to see his eyes very often. So I look forward to him being awake and interacting with us more very soon!

We should have this big red chair for a very long time so we thought it would be cool to take Bradley's picture in it every month to use as a reference of how big he is getting! Also, our friend got us these stickers to put on a onesie that are numbered, 1 month-12 months. So those pictures will be fun to look back on as well.
